The antibacterial transparent IV dressing is breathable.

The composition of the antibacterial transparent dressing includes transparent adhesive dressing and a gel pad. The gel pad contains chlorhexidine gluconate, a weight ratio of 2% (CHG), a broad-spectrum antibacterial and antifungal bacteriostatic agent. Change the gel pad to absorb liquid. This transparent membrane provides an effective barrier against external infections, including liquids (waterproof), bacteria, viruses * and fungi, and protects the puncture site.

Transparent dressing testing characteristics

In vitro tests (bactericidal curve and bacteriostatic circle) confirmed that the Tegaderm gel CHG gel pad has antimicrobial effect against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and fungi, including most commonly associated with bloodstream infection (CRBSI).

Tegaderm? CHG antibacterial transparent dressing is transparent, which is convenient for continuous observation of the puncture site, and also has air permeability, which can fully emit moisture.

*In vitro tests showed that the transparent dressing film provided a virus barrier against viruses with a diameter of 27nm or greater when the dressing was completely sealed and without leakage. The virus barrier is due to the properties of the dressing, not the auxiliary properties of CHG.
